We’ll be celebrating the end of the year with fun games and good food! Don’t miss our last regular Reasonable Faith meeting of the semester tomorrow! Concluding our mini-series on the Old Testament, our Director, Allen Hainline, will discuss several challenging passages in the Old Testament that some claim to support slavery and genocide. Additionally, we’ll discuss the claim that some Old Testament authors were originally polytheists but that later editors changed the writings. We'll also discuss the Levitical laws and how to determine what applies to Christians today from these laws and how it can be determined. During tonight’s meeting, we are having a UTD professor speak! He also happens to be a pastor and has written and spoken at conferences in defending the reasonableness of the Bible and Christianity. Here is a brief bio: Come join us this Thursday as our Director, Allen Hainline, presents evidence in favor of trusting the Old Testament and responds to some critiques. The Old Testament is often misunderstood and underappreciated. There are important lessons and amazing truths revealed that would have been hard for humans to have guessed apart from divine guidance (ex: to quarantine the sick, to wash hands with running water, to minimize touching dead people or certain animals like bats that transmit diseases, etc.). Join us tomorrow as we have special guest Amy Davison speak about Biblical marriage and how it's helpful in raising kids and to a stable society. Secular studies strongly support this, but traditional marriage is often considered by our culture today to be outdated or oppressive. Amy is a mother of 4 boys and an author and excellent researcher and communicator on this topic! Come join Reasonable Faith and other Christian organizations on campus at the Plinth tomorrow for Rez Fair as we celebrate the resurrection of our Savior! Don’t miss what we’ve got planned for the month of April! We’re starting off the month with Pancakes & Pontification tonight, hope to see y’all there! This Saturday, April 1st, is Pancakes and Pontification night, and we would love to have you there, no joke!! This is a place to ask any theological questions you may have, so we invite you to bring your questions and bring a friend!
